Allstar’s Site

Apparently, I can’t even live up to my own visions, and have not worked on the little game site, nor the forums. I have not had time due to real life, and other internet related things (I manage a few other websites [1000+ active people] and 4 game servers).

 Maybe sometime in the future we can get this site back up and running, but for now, I’ll just leave monthly posts for updates and such. Maybe over the summer we can get things back up and rolling

Until then, farewell.

Well it’s been a while since I’ve had time to visit the site, or work on it at least. I’ve been busy with many other things that need to be done before this. Sorry guys, but until the weekend, or spring break, I won’t have any time to work on this site.

Here goes, I recently put the forum back online even though it’s not finished because I’m testing a few things. I also updated a few things as well. I will point out that I will be implementing a better page for the games instead of our current indexing feature for them.

-Adding games onto the site (Currently in progress, working games can be found here. If you want a game added, click the Submit feedback and give a link to the .swf file, or go on the forum and PM me it)

Ok ok I admit it, I have not had any time to work on the site. But trust me, these things WILL get done (Yes I know i’ve said that like 50 times).

List of things to do:

-Finish forum
-Work on blog
-Add a few mods onto the blog/website

I decided to do something nice for you guys. I setup a Speedtest for all of you to test your internet speeds, but there is one catch. That catch is that the upload portion of the test does not work and I have not found a solution yet. The download speed rating works fine, but just the upload speed test doesn’t work. Feel free to head here to test it out. If you can’t stand not having the Upload part working, then just go to Speedtest.net to have everything work properly.

With my recent awayness, a few of you have been wondering and sending in questions to me asking why have I not posted anything recently, and why the forum has not been finished. I guess I can start answering those questions… Let’s begin:

On New Years day, I did mean to post Happy New Years! but I never had the chance to. Plus i’ve been busy since New Years week all the way up to this week. I promise you guys, the forum will be done sometime this or next weekend, even if I have to stay up a whole night to work on it… Speaking of the web site, I did have a chance to update my blog a week ago, but the forum, nor posting anything was on my mind at the moment.

Hope you guys can forgive a busy guy.

Alright guys and gals, I will begin working on the neglected forums to bring them up to speed. In the meantime, feel free to send me any mods/scripts that you would like to be added to the site via the Feedback section. Make sure you provide a legit link.

On another note, I have finished updating the forums to the Gold release of PhpBB3, but I have not gotten around to finish setting it up (Adding forums, Permissions, User groups). If I have time, I’ll see if I can do a bit over the weekend, but I do have Finals next week so it may have to wait until the week of Christmas to be done.

I have searched and searched all over the place for a Christmas theme but I have had no luck… Until recently, which I found 2 very awesome Christmas themes, Vermillion Christmas and Christmas Gifts. We are currently using Vermillion Christmas. I may switch from time to time between the 2 so don’t be worried.

Everything on the site is still very functional and should be working. If there is something that isn’t working, click the Feedback link and I’ll get to you asap.
